This was what the Red, White & Blue almost was! I first had the idea to do a fanzine for a local band called Saint Zoe - this fanzine would be called Clowning Around (later adopted as the title of a comedy comic). It later got changed to SCV as I intended to make it into a Viz-like comic with gig reviews and broadening it's scope to the rest of the local Cambridge rock/blues scene. This became especially important when Saint Zoe split up! Even later it became a horror comic called "The Horrific Picture Paper", which was going to also have incongruously-added Boys' Own adventure strips. Then finally it became JUST Boys' Own and was re-named The Red, White & Blue. However I thought the Viz-like comic idea was too good to pass up so decided to carry on with it, thus SCV comes into existence again! Issue 1 will hopefully be ready sometime in 2010, though may not be 'available' until 2011!

Zina Middle-class Warrior Princess - Origin story. A version is available in the "stuff from before I grew up" penny comic. It will be re-drawn for this!

Captain Typhoon - A brave British soldier in a traditional adventure comic is bought out by an American media conglomerate halfway through a mission, and has to deal with being in colour and mourning the deaths of each of his special snowflakes.

Weird Japanese Comic - A comic strip in Japanese! Mixes everyday suburban scenes with deranged filth whilst the reader is left totally confused.
